It was only a ribbon
swirled around
and around and
once more around
Going from large to
not so large
to medium
to smaller still
to tiny to
virtually nothing
Until a type of periwinkle
shell appeared
where previously
only the ribbon
Had been - then
with a flick
of the wrist
the shell
was gone
and voila,
a ribbon was back ...

Shape shifting - creating something new and special from what is ordinary. Perhaps the work of a poet?
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a ribbon has swirled around that beautiful shell. I love your words and the idea of a bit of mystery.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful take on the prompt~
ReplyDeleteTalking of enigmas! I love the inversion in this - very cool, yourself!

ReplyDeleteVoila!
