Allow Me To
Snow falling thick as down
Is blanketing our yard
And the roads around here
Muffling sounds so thoroughly
It is as if I have been
Transported somewhere new
Everything looks pristine
All the flaws in the landscape
Covered over at least
Temporarily giving
The illusion of a fresh start
That extends itself indoors
In a psychological manner
Unexpectedly freeing, and for
Awhile I find the quietude
Seemingly able to allow me
Much needed distraction-free
Time to breathe, then write.
